I ran across the museum shop as fast as my robo-boot would carry me. “Oh My God, this is awesome! It’s so early Manic Attackers.” Of course my second thought was that it would’ve been an excellent thing to sell for merchandise back in the early Windy City Rollers derby days.
What am I talking about? I am talking about the 2005-2008 Manic Attackers logo of course. It featured a mouth with the team name being shouted out of the mouth. Here in 2011 I ran across a puppet mouth at The Museum of Science and Industry. Although I loved the puppet it remained in the gift shop, right after I captured it’s greatness to share.
In 2009, The Manic Attackers rebranded their logo. However the older fans will always remember the wacky “Mouth Logo.” I scanned the internet for a digital image of the logo but came up empty. Quickly I found my shirt that was given to me to welcome the second season “tots” to their new teams. Here you can see the mouth logo still in tact. I’m not a big fan of the fit of the T-Shirt but I can’t let this small piece of history out of my closet.
If you want to know more about the current logo please check out Vengence Industries.
I just won 2 FREE tickes to see Michelle Branch on top of the swanky downtown Chicago Wit Hotel! I jumped up and down for about point three seconds before my husband Todd notified me that a) I have plans on Saturday with his parents and that b) I am hanging out with his mother while c) Todd and father-in-law are attending Harry Potter.
I really like Todd’s parents but Todd says the hotel concert isn’t his mom bag. Not even to hang out on the Wit Hotel rooftop? Oh well, it’s not like I am a huge Michelle Branch fan, but guess what? I now have 2 tickets to give away!!
Leave a comment below with your e-mail and I will randomly give them away on Friday, July 15th at 10.00am. You will have until 2pm on Friday to pick them up from me downtown in the Chicago Loop.
Actual concert day/time: Saturday, July 16 @ 2pm. Wit Hotel Rooftop.

WCR (144) vs Charm City(126), June 25: DNN Recap
WCR(130) vs Montreal(105), June 26
WCR ventured out of their region for the first time this year at ECDX, and had a ferocious battle against slight underdog Charm City to barely win a no-minors beta test 144-126. However, they then had to turn around and scramble hard to avoid being upset by significantly larger underdog Montreal the next night before coming out with a 130-105 win. They remain in the top ten but are nudged down a slot by Kansas City’s entry; WCR will have 7 games in the next two months, the last of which will be a clash with KCRW in Chicago.
